Globe Telecom recently updated its GoSURF and GoSAKTO promos for their prepaid subscribers. One of the major changes is the FREE DATA for GoSHARE&SHOP, GoWATCH&PLAY or GoLIVE&DISCOVER. And, this could be a make or break for those who usually subscribe to
Globe GoSURF50.

Let's discuss first the good news, the
Globe GoSURF50 still has 1GB of open access data valid for 3 days, and still comes with 1GB of data for GoWiFi access, which are the same inclusions as before. It also still comes with 1GB of data daily, but instead for Facebook and Instagram, it now also includes Twitter, Shopee, and Zalora, which is if you avail the GoSHARE and GoSHOP option.
For us, this is better, since there are added apps instead of just FB and IG. Moreover, consumers can also opt to choose GoWATCH and GoPLAY, wherein the free data can be used for YouTube, Netflix, iWant, Viu, iflix, NBA, HOOQ, ONE, Mobile Legends, Arena of Valor, Rules of Survival, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Free Fire, and PUBG Mobile. Or, GoLIVE and GoDISCOVER wherein the free data daily can be used for Grab, Google Maps, Waze, Wikipedia, and Tik Tok.
Now, for the sad part. The
GoSURF50 does not come anymore with 1GB data for an app of your choice. The said 1GB data before can be used for Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, Twitter, Viber, SnapChat, TikTok, YouTube & Daily Motion, Mobile Legends, PUBG, AOV & other games, when you claim it via 8080. Again, the keywords below for

Previously, the
Go SURF 50 also comes with FREE unlimited texts to all networks, which is quite great if your friends and family are on the Smart, TNT, or Sun. But, this time around, the Globe SoSURF page, https://www.globe.com.ph/prepaid/gosurf.html, does not show that. However, we tried sending SMS to Smart and SUN numbers, and both our texts were received on the other end. That said, we can conclude that 'unli all-net texts' is still part of the promo.
There are a whole lot more to your streams and gameplays when you have bigger data. To be specific, here are the things that you can enjoy with your additional free 1GB of data daily:
