Samsung has officially introduced the new members of its growing Galaxy S-line – the Galaxy S10 series consisting of the regular Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ model, and a toned-down version dubbed as the Galaxy S10e. The three variants are the company’s latest flagship smartphones that boast its Infinity-O display, new chipset, and enhanced offerings.
Now, let’s focus first on the Samsung Galaxy S10. The device is dressed with a glass-like body, and comes with two simple yet striking colors: Prism White, and Prism Black. Its front, on the other hand, is dominated by an impressive 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen that supports HDR 10+ with Dynamic Tone Mapping. It gives off a WQHD+ resolution, as well as superior color accuracy that makes it a great handset when watching videos. The handset also promises to deliver 41% less blue light even before activating Blue Light Filter on its display settings.
As expected, the Galaxy S10 is equipped with the brand’s Infinity-O display, allowing it to offer a 19:9 screen aspect ratio. With this trick, Samsung was able to bring more screen area by putting a hole on its display. This houses its selfie snapper.

Under the hood, Samsung claimed that it can offer fast and seamless performance through its 8nm octa-core processor. The company boasted that it will increase its CPU and GPU performance, as well. To support this, the S10 is loaded with a whopping 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 512GB.
Meanwhile, what makes it unique compared to other Galaxy S-devices is that it now has triple rear shooters. This isn’t the first time that Samsung mounted their handset with this camera setup, though. In case you missed it, the Galaxy A7 (2018) was the brand’s first triple-lens smartphone. However, the Galaxy S10 obviously has the better sensors than the former.
With that being said, Samsung geared it with a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel (f/1.5 f/2.4) wide camera, 16-megapixel f/2.2 Ultra Wide shooter, and 12-megapixel f/2.4 Telephoto lens. For selfies, it is packed with a 10-megapixel f/1.9 snapper.

The only thing that we found underwhelming about the device is its 3400mAh battery as we’re now spoiled with flagship smartphones that have hefty stamina. To bounce back, Samsung boasted that it supports fast charging, as well as Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless PowerShare, which allows users to charge other NFC-enabled devices using the S10.
The handset also sports an enhanced in-display fingerprint sensor, which is tagged as the Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner. Unlike other in-display fingerprint scanners found on its rivals, the Korean tech giant said that it can learn and recognize the 3D characteristics of the actual fingerprint. Hence, users no longer have to wipe and clean their registered fingers every time they will unlock their phone. Impressive, isn’t it?
The Samsung Galaxy S10 will be available for pre-order starting February 22 until March 3, 2019. It is priced at Php49,990.
So, are you getting one?
