Cherry Mobile joins the other smartphone brands that jumped into the "bezel-less" 18:9 display bandwagon with their current flagship device, the Cherry Mobile Flare S6 Plus.
The Cherry Mobile Flare S6 Plus is the top of the line offering in the 6th generation Flare series, which was unveiled recently together with the Flare S6 and the Flare S6 Selfie. It comes with a 5.7-inch 18:9 screen with HD+ resolution topped with 2.5D glass, Cherry Mobile calls it as "TrueView" display!
Aside from having thin bezels and wider display aspect ratio, the Flare S6 Plus boasts another unique selling point, its quad cameras, which makes it one of the few smartphones to have such feature. If I am not mistaken, it is the first local branded device to have four cameras, that is, if the ZH&K Mobile Oracle is not counted. The front and back are both equipped with 16MP + 5MP cameras and their respective LED flash.

Under the hood, it is powered by MediaTek MT6750T chipset, which has octa core Cortex-A53 CPU cores clocked up to 1.5GHz each bundled with dual core Mali-T860 graphics, it is the same silicon found inside the OPPO F3. It also has 4GB of RAM to handle multiple tasks smoothly, and 64GB of expandable storage.
Another new feature in the S6 series is the Cherry OS, Cherry Mobile's very own customized operating system based on Android Nougat. The other notable features are dual SIM with LTE connectivity, HiFi Audio, USB Type-C port, fingerprint sensor, and 3000mAh battery capacity!
It retails for Php9,999, and will be available next month.
