| Starmobile and Smart Introduce FeatureSmart Evo 1 VoLTE-Capable Feature Phone |
With a goal to improve the quality of mobile phone voice service in the Philippines, Starmobile, in partnership with Smart Communications, Inc., has introduced a new VoLTE-capable feature phone called the FeatureSmart Evo 1.
VoLTE, a standard for high-speed wireless communication, uses 4G LTE connectivity to allow users to send and receive calls with better quality. Usually, it is said that only high-end devices support this feature, but with the new FeatureSmart Evo 1, Starmobile is making it available in an affordable feature phone.

The feature phone was introduced during the recently concluded Smart Retailer Conference held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, with attendance from PLDT-Smart Chair and CEO Manny Pangilinan and PLDT-Smart Chief Technology and Information Advisor Joachim Horm.
As of the moment, the pricing and availability of the Starmobile FeatureSmat Evo 1 have not been made public yet. The company, however, announced that together with Smart's VoLTE service, the device will soon be made available.
