Android Wear 2.0 Update Starts Rolling Out to ASUS ZenWatch 3 |
Over the past couple of hours, owners of the ZenWatch 3 has reportedly started receiving the update. Back in May this year, ASUS falsely announced that it has started rolling out Google's latest smartwatch OS. This time, however, after yesterday's new announcement, it appears that the update did reach actual units of the smartwatch.
The ASUS ZenWatch was announced last year at IFA 2016 in Berlin. Google's Android Wear 2.0, on the other hand, was first announced back in May 2016 and released in February this year or about five months ago.
The latest smartwatch OS brings in new features for users to enjoy such as customizable watchfaces, improved messaging, and more sensors. It also offers simpler navigation to easily access the functions of the watch. There's also an improved Google Fit that offers new exercise options.
If you're an ASUS ZenWatch 3 owner, you may expect to receive the Android Wear 2.0 OS update as early as today or in the coming days.
