Globe Provides FREE Wi-Fi Access at MRT and EDSA |
In partnership with Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Globe Telecom has stretched their GoWiFi service to 1,000 more new locations and 10,000 access points in the country including EDSA and all MRT stations.
The collaboration eyes to give high-speed internet connectivity along EDSA, hence, they call it EDSA WIFI project. Also, DICT aims to provide this service to over 13,000 public places across 145 cities and 1,489 municipalities around the country.
With speeds of up to 100Mb/s, GoWiFi users will be given free minutes of high-speed internet access daily. Meanwhile, Globe and TM subscribers can extend the service by registering to GoWiFi promo by connecting to @GoWiFi_Auto.

Customers can avail of 500MB worth of data allocation valid for 1 day for only Php15, while Php50 gives users 1.5GB of data allowance that is valid for 3 days. For long term service, subscribers can enjoy 1.5GB data allocation for 30 days for only Php99.
For first time users, Globe also offers Free Trial promo that gives free access to GoWiFi Auto for 3 days (valid until August 31, 2017 only).
GoWIFI was first launched in MRT-3 stations as part of the first 126 hotspots and 2,500 access points by the telcom giant for public use. It is also available in other major transportation stations, hospitals, and malls.
