Canon EOS C200 4K Compact Digital Cinema Camera Announced |
The EOS C200 is Canon's newest addition to its Cinema EOS range and it is considered to be the first in the range to support the new RAW recording format called Cinema RAW Light. It weighs at just 1.4kg, which is perfect for hand-held shooting.
Canon's latest cinema camera also features the new Canon Dual DIGIC DV6 processors for recording 4K UHD/50P MP$, 4K DCI RAW, and continuous 120fps High Frame Rate (HFR) in Full HD without using crop.

In addition, it comes with improved Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus (AF) technology and a new touchscreen LCD display for effective tracking. It has an ISO Range of 100 to 102400 with built-in optical ND filters of up to 10 stops. It also supports up to 15 stops of dynamic range in Cinema RAW Light and up to 13 stops of dynamic range in MP4.
Other features include Manual Focus Assist Function, Face Detection with Face Priority, and Face-Only options. There will also be another model called the Canon EOS C200B, which will be a lower-end unit sold without an LCD, viewfinder, and handle.
The Canon EOS C200, as well as the EOS C200B, are scheduled for release in the US in August this year for estimated retails prices of USD7,499 or about Php372.4K and USD5,999 or about Php298K, respectively. An additional COMPACT-SERVO 70-200mm Zoom Lens can also be purchased for USD5,800 or about Php288.1K.
