| OnePlus 3 and 3T to Get Android O OS Update |
The announcement was proudly made through a Twitter post by Pete Lau himself, although there was no mention yet as to when the device will be getting the update. It could be right after Google's Pixel and Nexus devices received the update, before this year ends, or as late as 2018.
The OnePlus 3 and 3T were both released in 2016. This year, we're expecting the release of their successor, the new OnePlus 5, which is currently making a buzz and attracting attention as it offers high-end specs at a much lesser price compared to its competitors with similar specs.
Leaks say that the upcoming phone will run on Android Nougat. This means that it if Android O does arrive, 3 and 3T users would have to wait patiently since the Chinese company will most likely prioritize the OnePlus 5 for the latest Android updates.
